Ubuntu Is For Me
You might say, “What the heck is Ubuntu?”
Well, only the best thing ever. Ever heard of Linux? Linux is an operating system, like Windows, but it’s free, or, open source. Basically, like Ubuntu Linux Help says “the development of Linux is guided by people who seek to maximize performance. It does not appear to be developed predominantly by those who seek to maximize profits.
” All the programs are FREE! Open Office, a.k.a. NO MORE paying $150 for Microsoft Office! It’s BETTER! There’s more than that, but you’ll just have to check it out to see!
Ubuntu (Linux in general) runs faster and better than any version of windows.
Not to brag, but I have an amazing computer (don’t worry, I won’t go into details) but it’s about the most advanced (practical) system you can put together for now. My computer (in windows) still takes about 2 minutes to turn on and be ready to use. RIDICULOUS! Ubuntu Linux is ready to rock in under 15 seconds.
Granted, some versions of linux are not for the computer challenged. You have to be familiar with it’s programming to be able to use it… kind of. There is sooooo much support out there for Ubuntu, it’s amazing. I’ve tried other versions of linux to no avail. Ubuntu is for me!
If you just want to try it, let me know. For a very small fee (whatever it costs to ship a CD) I’ll burn you a copy and send it to you. It’s time to spread the Ubuntu love!
Or, you can go to Ubuntu.com and download it yourself! You have to make a CD of it (which also isn’t for the faint-computer-hearted) but there are guides on the site on how to do it.
I hope you get the courage to try it. Give it a shot and unleash the hidden power in your computer.
